مطابخ الميلامين متينة، لكن الحرارة والبخار والماء هي الأعداء الرئيسية لأي أثاث من الألواح. وبعض العادات البسيطة تُحدث فرقًا كبيرًا.
احمِ الحواف
الحافة هي المكان الذي يمكن أن يتسرب منه الماء. امسح ما ينسكب فورًا، خاصة حول المغسلة وغسالة الأطباق، ولا تترك قطع القماش المبللة معلقة على الأبواب.
البخار والحرارة
- شغّل شفاط المطبخ في كل مرة تطبخ فيها
- لا تفتح غسالة الأطباق فور انتهاء الدورة حتى لا يصل البخار إلى الخزائن العلوية
- أبعد الغلايات وأجهزة طهي الأرز عن الجهة السفلية للخزائن العلوية
التنظيف
استخدم قطعة قماش ناعمة مع ماء دافئ ومنظف خفيف، وتجنب الليف الخشن ومساحيق الجلي والمذيبات القوية التي قد تُفقد السطح لمعانه أو تخدشه.
التهوية
يقلل تدفق الهواء الجيد من الرطوبة داخل الخزائن المغلقة. اترك مسافة صغيرة خلف الثلاجة، وتجنب إلصاق الخزائن بإحكام على الجدران الرطبة.
المفصلات والأدراج
افحص المفصلات مرة في السنة وشدّ البراغي المرتخية، فالتعديلات الصغيرة تُبقي الأبواب مستوية وتمنع الضغط على اللوح.
عند تنفيذ مطبخ جديد
اطلب ألواحًا مقاومة للرطوبة تحت المغسلة، وحوافًا محكمة الإغلاق في كل القطع، وفرشة ألمنيوم في خزانة المغسلة.

Caring for melamine kitchens in Qatar's heat and humidity
Melamine kitchens are durable, but heat, steam and water are the main enemies of any board furniture. A few habits make a big difference.
Protect the edges
The edge is where water can enter. Wipe up spills, especially around the sink and dishwasher, and do not leave wet cloths hanging on doors.
Steam and heat
- Use the cooker hood every time you cook
- Do not open the dishwasher right after the cycle so steam hits the cabinets above
- Keep kettles and rice cookers away from the underside of wall cabinets
Cleaning
Use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders and strong solvents, which can dull or scratch the surface.
Ventilation
Good air flow reduces humidity in closed cabinets. Leave a little space behind the fridge and avoid sealing cabinets tightly against wet walls.
Hinges and drawers
Check hinges once a year and tighten loose screws. Small adjustments keep doors aligned and prevent strain on the board.
When building a new kitchen
Ask for moisture-resistant boards under the sink, sealed edges on every part, and an aluminium mat in the sink cabinet.
